2009 North Brookfield Youth Baseball/Softball season will be held in the bell area of the North Brookfield Elementary School on the following dates and times: Forms can be obtained at sign up or by
January 26 (Monday) 7-8:30pm EATING DISORDERS SUPPORT GROUP - Worcester West chapter of ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders), meets in the basement of Christ Memorial Episcopal Church, at the corner of Spring Street and Route 67 in North Brookfield. This group is for people who have concerns about themselves, a friend or a family member. Come alone or bring someone for support. Informational materials are provided. The group meets the second Thursday and the last Monday of each month.
January 28 (Wednesday) 7:00pm ~ The North Brookfield Historical Society Business Meeting. Topics of discussion will included; future programs and events, issues related to the operation of the Historical Museum, Society finances and any other topics members would like to discuss.
January 31 (Saturday) 5-7pm SPAGHETTI DINNER Fundraiser for Hearts for Heat ~ Hayden Masonic Lodge (next to the NB Elementary School).
Snow Date Sunday, February 1st from 11am-2pm.
MENU: Spaghetti (Sauce, meatballs, sausage); bread & butter; salad, beverages; dessert.

February 7th (Saturday) 7am (Registration) - 2:30pm ~ 2nd Annual ICE FISHING DERBY Registration at the Lake Wickaboag beach. Sponsored by the Quaboag High School Football Committee. Entrance Fee: $5.00. Cash Prizes, Trophies and 50/50 Raffle.
February 7th (Saturday) 5:30 to 7:30pm ~Valentine' Spaghetti Supper/Dance at the North Brookfield American Legion Hall. Tickets, $8.00 are available at the door, at Still Hart's Café or from Andy Caron or by calling Richard LeBlanc @ 508-867-2134. Dancing with Andy Caron to follow. To benefit The Friends of the North Brookfield Playground Scholarship Fund.

• February 22 (Sunday) 6pm. EXPELLED: THE MOVIE; Ben Stein's "EXPELLED: The Movie" will be shown at the 1st Cong'l Church in N. Brookfield. "Expelled was the #1 Documentary film of 2008. We'll show the movie from 6:00-7:40. This will be followed by open discussion led by Senior Pastor Dave Libby and Associate Pastor Ken Winters.

The panel will consist of individuals who are recovered or who are loved ones of a recovered person. They will share their personal stories in an effort to offer hope, education and information. $5 Admission - Free for Holy Cross students (must show student ID.
