August 2 (Saturday) Heart to Heart Benefit Show - Hearts for Heat will be teaming with Dick Fiske’s Heart to Heart legendary variety show. The Heart to Heart(s) for Heat benefit will raise funds to help those with health and heating needs. Chances are currently available at the North Brookfield Savings Bank, Agoo's, Statz, and Bob's Deli for opportunities to win $500.00 (1st Prize); $300.00 (2nd prize); and $200.00 (3rd prize) in lottery tickets. Only 500 chances be will sold. The drawings will be held on the day of the event.

August 2 (Sunday) 7:00-9:00 p.m. Bat Program in Brookfield! Elm Hill Farm Wildlife Sanctuary. Do you have a liking for insects? Maybe you have more in common with bats than you realize! Join us at the Elm Hill Farm Wildlife Sanctuary in Brookfield, MA. Use your night vision to see and learn about the importance of our native Big and Little Brown Bats. FEE: $6 Mass Audubon Adult Members, $8 Adult Non-members $4 Child Members, $6 Child Non-members. Recommendations: Protective clothing, and ages 6 and up.

CAMP S.M.I.L.E. 2009 August 3-6 11:40-4:50 Congregational Church, Main Street. The Youth Center offered the Camp the last five years and it was a huge success. As a result of this, we would like to offer a similar experience this year. Camp S.M.I.L.E. is designed and facilitated by 7th-12th graders in North Brookfield, under the supervision of the Youth Center staff. This year, the Camp will be offered for three weeks for children currently in K-5th grade. The Camp will run Monday-Thursday from 11:30am. -4:50pm.
