During a visit to Poland to research his family's history, North Brookfield's Jim Metcalf was surprised to learn that beekeeping was a vocation practiced by his ancestors.  This discovery may help explain why Jim and his wife Sandy have enjoyed beekeeping as a hobby for 30 years.  In a program at the Haston Free Public Library, Jim will trace his Polish adventure including a visit to a high mountain apiary which retains many of the practices from a hundred years ago.
