NBFD: A History of the North Brookfield Fire Department

Through photos, artifacts, and narrative, this program will examine the origins and evolution of organized fire fighting in the United States focusing on the volunteer fire department of the town of North Brookfield from the 19th to the 21st century.

Topics to be covered include fire fighting equipment, department organization, training and competitions, the fire station,
water supply, fire insurance, and the fraternal, social, educational, and fundraising aspects of the fire service.

*Note: This program will be held in the Christ Memorial Church Undercroft.
