    ·          October 4 (Sunday) 1pm Stepping Out Against Domestic Abuse and Walking Toward Community Awareness  the Tri-Town Domestic Violence Task Force is co-sponsoring our second annual walk in Brimfield, MA to raise awareness about the increase in domestic abuse in our state and our nation. The interpersonal abuse of power through bullying, child abuse, teen dating violence, sexual abuse, partner and elder abuse is a community problem and we believe that it takes the entire community to support the victims and hold perpetrators accountable. Last year over 100 men, women and children participated in the walk. Tables will be set up on the Brimfield Common, along with children’s activities, entertainment and refreshments. If you choose to walk, sponsor sheets will be distributed in August. (The 1.6 mile walk will start on the Brimfield Common, follow Wales Rd. to Mill Lane, and back to Main St. and the Common) -Gail Bobin : Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, 26 Central Street, Suite 34, West Springfield, MA. 01089 gbobin@pvpc.org (413) 781-6045
