Quaboag 350th art contest

     

    Quaboag 350th presents art contest  In order to celebrate the 1660 settling of the Quaboag Plantation, the Brookfield Division of the Quaboag 350th Anniversary Committee is sponsoring this Art Contest which is open to all residents of Brookfield, North  Brookfield, Warren, East Brookfield, West Brookfield and New Braintree.   Entry forms can be downloaded at www.quaboag350.com or picked up from any post office or library in any of the participating towns. Use an art medium of your choice- colored pencil, paint, crayon, finger paint, mosaic, colored rice, etc, to fill in the historical representation of life on the Quaboag Plantation. Glue/tape a completed form to the back of the entry and return to the post office or library in any of the participating towns by Feb. 16. Fill out the form below and tape/glue to the back of your entry. Winners will be selected in the following categories:  first, second and third place in each of  the age group categories (0-5, 6-11, 12-18 and over 18; overall most creative use of art medium; most original entry; and judges’ choice Winners will be notified by phone by March 1. A list of winners will be published in the  Quaboag Current. Winners will be invited to an art gallery reception at Elm Hill Mansion in Brookfield to be held on March 27.
