Teens who want to write for Turley Publications invited to meeting Turley Publications is proud and excited to tell you we are finally holding our first meeting for teens who want to write for our papers. It will be held at Chicopee Public Library on 449 Front St. on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room downstairs.

Our goal is to create a Teen page that will run every month in each of our 14 newspapers. The teens who form our group will come up with the ideas for stories, do the writing and take photos for our papers. You will become part of a group of teens from across Western Massachusetts who will name the page and also name your group.  Everything we print will be your creation and something you can be proud of as you get the opportunity to write about topics that interest you and other teens. Having your work published will also look great on a college resume.

If you have friends who want to attend the meeting, please feel free to bring them. If you cannot attend this meeting, but are still interested, please email me and let me know so you are kept on our email list. I can’t wait to meet you and get our Teen section

launched. If your parents are bringing you to the first meeting, they can either browse through the library or stay with the group if they are interested or feel the need to do so. But this will be your group and your chance to become famous, by having thousands of people read what you write. I hope to see you there! Please let me know if you plan on attending!
