NB COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP of High School Fields
· April 10 (Saturday) 9:00am COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP of High School Fields All the Baseball (T-ball through Minors, & Babe Ruth) and Softball coaches, as well as the U18 girls soccer coach (this is a great way to complete community service requirements), are being asked to solicit their players AND their parents to come to the High School Fields to participate in a clean-up project. We will take all help, not just these aforementioned groups, but by splitting the days we don't completely wipe out everyone's weekend. All who come should bring their own rake, and wheelbarrows are welcome, as like last year if we can make a raking brigade, we can be out of their in a few hours.
· April 11 (Sunday) 9:00am COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP of the Commons All Major Baseball, AAA Baseball, and Soccer groups U10-U12 are asked to plan on coming to the Commons (we will start at 9:00 AM but given Church issues, please show up when you can). Again, bring a rake and or wheelbarrow.
o If you can attend, please bring a yard rake and a wheelbarrow if you can transport it. Previous year’s demonstration was an awesome sight. Watching a hundred people make a raking brigade across the Commons field was a sight to behold, not to mention the prior day supporting youth baseball by “prettying” up the fields. With a large number of people assisting it makes the time spent MUCH shorter, and believe me we incorporate all the help, there are no supervisory roles, everyone works. All you need is a willingness to help. We need your help immensely to ensure that our children play on the safest and best groomed fields possible. You also set a great example for the children with your support. This event is a once a year deal, and based on expert opinion it is the best thing we can do for the long term use of the field. DO YOU HAVE A COUPLE OF HOURS TO SPARE????? Thank you for your consideration, NBYB/S and NBYSL Roger Shedd 508-867-8826
