    Description: Grab a paddle and join the fun in our canoes as we learn about the wildlife dependant upon this park. We’ll provide canoes, paddles, personal flotation vests, and basic canoeing instructions. You provide the enthusiasm and interest! This is a free program open to children ages 6 and older. Swimming skills are required. An adult must accompany all participants under 18 years. This program may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Please call 508-753-6087 to check program status.     Discovery Voyage in the Narragansett

    Fee: $40 Mass Audubon Adult Members, $50 Adult Non-members, $40 Child Members, $50 Child Non-members.  

    Description: You won't want to miss this program as we join marine biologists to investigate fascinating Narragansett Bay, the destination of Blackstone River water before it winds its way into the ocean. Come explore this fragile environment on board the Alletta Morris, a 45-foot ship owned and operated by Save The Bay. We will haul back a net full of creatures from the bottom of the bay, test for water quality, and get up close and personal with plankton. It will be 2 1/2 hours of marine biology, taught by experts from Save the Bay. Minimum enrollment is 20 people; maximum enrollment is 28 people. We will leave Worcester at 11 am, be aboard the ship from 1:00 to 3:30 pm, and return to Worcester by 5 pm.   Bring a lunch to enjoy before we board. Take a day off from work and be a marine biologist for a day!This program is part of the Campaign for a Fishable/Swimmable Blackstone River by 2015.  First ten registrants to request transportation can join us in the BMB van; all others will receive maps and directions to the dock in Providence, Rhode Island.     Crickets at Dusk

    Massachusetts: Family Camping Trip

    Fee: $42 per tent

    Description: Join us for a family-friendly camping trip. This experience is for beginners and experts alike. We will spend the night at Lake Dennison in Winchendon, Massachusetts. The day will feature planned activities including canoeing as well as free time for families to spend together. A campfire and night hike will round out the evening. Participants provide their own food and camping equipment. If you do not have camping equipment, please let us know and we can help. Check-in is 3:00 pm Saturday and check-out is 11:00 am Sunday.     Tettaset Hills Trail

    Description: Are you enjoying a staycation this summer?  Looking for a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon?  Join us for one or all three summer hikes to explore some of Worcester's wonderful open spaces. Hikes are about three miles one way, with a van waiting at the end to take us back to the starting point. Explore Worcester's northwest wilds with our colleagues from the Greater Worcester Land Trust.
